Dental emergencies can happen when we least expect them, often bringing concerns about the cost of treatment. At Future Dental Centre, we want to ensure you receive immediate, high-quality dental care without the added stress of financial worries. That’s why we offer flexible payment plans through Humm and Fund My Dental, making it easier to manage the cost of emergency treatments.

We accept all major health fund claims on the spot and are proud to be a preferred provider for HCF, nib, and smile.com.au. Please make your way to the practice promptly, but give us a call first so we can get ready for your arrival or book an appropriate time for you.
We can guide you on the steps to take before coming in, helping you manage the situation until you arrive. If you can, please contact us right after the injury happens or early in the morning.
Timely care may contribute to a more manageable outcome for your situation.
Once we assess the issue, we’ll go over how complex it is and the possible approaches that may help manage your symptoms. If appropriate, we may begin treatment straight away. If same-day care isn’t required, we may offer a temporary solution and plan for ongoing care.
Using our diagnostic technology, we can determine how significant the concern is, giving you clear information to support your decision-making. We’ll aim to walk you through a range of appropriate care pathways for you to choose from.
Emergency care differs based on the type of injury involved. You may require a minor filling or, in some situations, a procedure such as a root canal. You’ll be included in every step of the planning process. Our immediate focus is to help ease your discomfort.
Time is critical. If a tooth has broken or been knocked out, try to keep the fragment moist. Avoid touching the root if there is one. Place the tooth in a sealed container to keep it safe.
Make sure the tooth is completely covered in a liquid such as contact solution, saline, or milk. If none of these are available, you can use tap water with a pinch of salt. It’s crucial to get the tooth to us within the next one to two hours to attempt to reattach or reimplant it.
Toothaches usually don’t settle on their own and often need attention from a dental professional. If you’re waiting for your appointment, you may take an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory as instructed to help manage swelling. A cool compress on the cheek closest to the tooth may also help ease discomfort.
However, if you’re experiencing severe facial swelling or bleeding that cannot be stopped with firm pressure, head to the nearest emergency room.
If you’re dealing with pain or an urgent dental concern, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.
